Joshua Lamborn

Manufacturing Jeweller & Jewellery Teacher

Josh is our lead jewellery designer, maker, and teacher. A qualified manufacturing jeweller with over 15 years of trade experience, he's passionate about sharing his knowledge and helping others discover the joy of jewellery making.

For more than nine years, Josh has been teaching jewellery classes to hobbyists and now mentors over 95 students each school term. Known for his patience, creativity, and enthusiasm, he encourages students to step outside their comfort zones, develop new skills, and take on rewarding projects they may never have thought possible.

Josh draws inspiration from a wide range of traditional crafts, particularly blacksmithing, often combining techniques to create distinctive, handcrafted pieces with their own unique character.

Josh and Georgia call Charleston in the Adelaide Hills home, where they enjoy the region's beautiful landscapes and peaceful countryside. Whether exploring local trails or wandering through the bush, Josh is always on the lookout for unique textures, shapes, and natural materials that spark ideas for his next creation.

Georgia Lamborn

Admin Support Person

Georgia is the "make it happen" force behind the scenes. With a calm, organised approach and a knack for all things tech, she's the queen of keeping everything running smoothly. Whether she's responding to customer enquiries, managing bookings, or looking after the bookkeeping, Georgia ensures every detail is taken care of.

What started as Josh's dream of creating a community workshop has become Georgia's passion too. She's excited to help bring more creativity to the Adelaide Hills by creating a welcoming space where people can learn, create, and connect.

When she's not helping run the workshop, Georgia works as an Emergency Registered Nurse—a role she finds both rewarding and fulfilling.

Will Sexton

Blacksmith

Will is a talented blacksmith and maker who is currently working as a boilermaker. Based in Birdwood in the Adelaide Hills, he spends much of his spare time at the forge, honing his skills and creating handcrafted metalwork.

Will has completed several commissioned pieces for the Adelaide Hills Council, which are now on display in Birdwood. His passion for traditional metalworking and attention to detail are evident in every piece he creates.

Together, Will and Josh have combined their skills to design and create handcrafted metal roses, a collaboration that showcases the artistry and craftsmanship they both share.

Rania Northey

Wax Carving Teacher

Rania brings creativity, enthusiasm, and plenty of positive energy to the workshop. She teaches our wax carving classes, where she enjoys helping students discover the possibilities of carving wax into unique jewellery designs.

Currently learning the ropes of becoming a jeweller, Rania works alongside Josh to develop her skills while assisting with a variety of classes and workshops. Her bubbly personality, patience, and encouraging nature help create a welcoming environment where students feel confident to learn and have fun.

Outside the workshop, Rania has a soft spot for dogs and other animals and loves spending time with them whenever she can. Her passion for creativity and eagerness to learn make her a valued part of the team, and she's excited to share her jewellery-making journey with our students.
