Join our jewellery making classes in our beautiful Charleston workshop, up here in the Adelaide Hills. We welcome complete beginners as well as advanced students.

Half Day Silver Ring Making Class
This class is suitable for beginners as well as those with some existing jewellery-making experience. During your class, you’ll learn how to create your own silver ring from start to finish.
You can choose to texture your ring and/or personalise using numbers and letters. Your finished ring is yours to take home at the end of the session, with the cost of silver included in the class fee.
Work at your own pace in a supportive environment filled with other creatives and amazing tools, all led by Josh our fully trained manufacturing jeweller / teacher.

Appropriate for:
Beginners and those with some existing experience Ages 18+.
Participants aged 16–17 may attend, but a guardian must contact us prior to booking.
Please note: A minimum of 4 participants is required for the class to run. If minimum numbers are not met, your booking may need to be rescheduled.

Casual, comfortable clothing.
Enclosed footwear is essential.
Long hair must be tied back.
No loose or flowing clothing.
If you arrive in inappropriate footwear, you will not be able to participate.
If you usually wear glasses for close-up work, please bring them.

For single/once off classes: if you give us at least 5 days notice before your class date of missing the class, you will be able to reschedule your class via our website. If you let us know less than 5 days before your class, it is at the discretion of Hive Artisan Collective trading as Hive Workshops as to what happens. Please note you will not be given a refund at any point, so please choose carefully.
Half Day Flower Wax Carving Class
In this hands-on jewellery making workshop, you’ll learn how to carve wax to design intricate, organic, and sculptural flowers before they are professionally cast into solid sterling silver using the lost wax casting process. No prior jewellery experience is needed—just bring your creativity and enjoy a slow, mindful making experience.
You can choose to make this a pendant or a keepsake, or you can also sign up for another class to put your flower on a ring. Choose from the black and white images for the types of flowers you can create on the day.
Perfect for beginners, this relaxed and creative class guides you step-by-step through the entire carving process. You’ll learn how to shape, size, refine, and texture your wax flower using professional jewellery tools and techniques while exploring your own ideas and personal style. You’ll have the freedom to create something truly unique.
Your teacher will provide personalised guidance throughout the workshop to help bring your design to life. Small class sizes ensure plenty of one-on-one support in a welcoming studio environment.
After the class, your wax carving will be professionally cast into solid sterling silver and polished, ready to wear or gift. The finished piece can then be collected from our workshop or can be posted to you approximately two weeks after the class.
Please note: Class price does not include materials or postage to you after class. We will charge per gram to the current silver price. The approximate cost can be between $20-100+ per piece, depending on thickness and size. Postage will be $9.
